Due to the flooding in NE Iowa this past week, the flight that was planned for this coming Saturday has been postponed.
We had flooding here in Rockford on Sunday and Monday and currently they are having record flooding in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area.
While it would likely go well, we are concerned about effective tracking and recovery as quite a few roads in the predicted flight area have been damaged.
With continued rain predicted, the possibility of the payload landing in an area of standing water, if not actually flowing water, is also increased.
At this time we do not have an anticipated future date for the flight.
The soonest that we could fly would be sometime in July.
However, crops are usually coming up pretty well by then and that could also hamper recovery so it may well be into the fall after the crops are out.
That said, we could get to Jonesin' for a flight and go ahead despite crop coverage, so stay tuned...
